  • Diana Deming Cahill

    Founding Trustee, Chairman

    Ms. Deming Cahill is a former classroom teacher in the elementary and primary grades. From 1979 to 1993, she accompanied her father at numerous public and private seminars and consulting sessions, classes and meetings at New York University and at companies in the United States, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. She attended Randolph-Macon Woman's College and Marietta College and holds a BA in sociology.

    Kevin Edwards Cahill is Dr. Deming’s grandson and currently volunteers full-time as the executive director of The W. Edwards Deming Institute®. He also serves on the Board of Trustees, where he is president and a successor founding trustee. [Read More]

  • J. Vincent Cahill

    Successor Founding Trustee

    Vincent Cahill is responsible for setting direction, policy and procedures for the HR Shared Services organization. He oversees the baseline processes that maintain the PeopleSoft HRMS database, which includes accurate processing, maintenance and security for corporate information. He provided project oversight to upgrade existing technologies and implementation of integrated technologies to leverage the deployment of automated processes. He holds an MBA from George Washington University and a BSBA in finance from Georgetown University.

  • Steven Haedrich

    Associate Trustee, Secretary

    Steven Haedrich is the owner of New York Label & Box Works (NYLB), a packaging printer that has been in continuous operation since 1878. Steven is the third generation of his family to run the company that was purchased by his grandfather in the Great Depression of 1930. NYLB specializes in innovative packaging such as re-sealable labels, UV inks on clear films and folding carton packaging. NYLB recently has been recognized as a leader in brand protection and anti-counterfeiting technology for high value products.   • Richard R. Steele

    Associate Trustee, Treasurer

    Dick Steele is the founder and chairman of Peaker Services, Inc., a company that remanufactures locomotive engines and designs electrical control systems for large power applications, located in Brighton, Michigan. Dick was the Co-chair of The Deming Institute Annual Fall Conference from 2005 to 2013. He has been an active member of the Deming Study Group of Greater Detroit for many years.   • John A. Hillerich III

    Associate Trustee

    Jack Hillerich is president and chairman of the board of Hillerich & Bradsby Company, a manufacturer of sporting goods equipment. Its well-known products include Louisville Slugger baseball and softball equipment, PowerBilt golf equipment and Louisville ice hockey equipment. He is a 1961 graduate of Vanderbilt University and joined the family-owned company upon his graduation. He held various positions within the company and became president upon the death of his father, John A. Hillerich, Jr., in 1970.

  • Paula Marshall

    Associate Trustee

    Paula Marshall was named the CEO of her family’s business, The Bama Companies, in 1985. Bama provides frozen baked goods to large-scale restaurant chains including the nation’s largest hamburger chain, the nation’s largest pizza chain and the nation’s largest retailer. Marshall received her Bachelor of Science in Business and her Doctorate of Commercial Science from Oklahoma City University.[Read More]

    Keith Sparkjoy is Vice President of The Sparkjoy Foundation. A lifelong learner, Keith holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of California, Irvine, which he never actually used: he discovered a love of computer programming in his first job. He eventually moved into a life of research and teaching, where his focus was on security in distributed systems.[Read More]
